Manx2.com has welcomed announcement that Irish airline Air Lingus will start a new service from Belfast City Airport to London Heathrow when it switches its operations from Belfast International Airport in the autumn. It means Isle of Man residents will have an even more frequent and convenient link to Heathrow Airport via Belfast.

Those travelling to the airport at the weekend should allow extra time for their journey due to a temporary restrict on traffic movements on Sydenham Bypass Lane 2 citybound and Lane 2 countrybound. This closure will operate continuously for 12 hours, commencing on Saturday 7th July at 23:00 hours and finishing on Sunday at 11:00.
